Accumulation of fats in the abdominal area is a very common thing in people, especially in the prime age. When giving one birth to a child, the belly is left big and hanging. Excess abdomen fat is associated with some diseases. They include a heart disease and two types of diabetes.
Mainly belly is caused by unhealthy eating. Taking of food with too much starch and sugars increase the risk of developing a fat belly. The cost and hustle of regaining a healthy appearance are too much compared to the cost of staying healthy.
Eating plenty of soluble fiber
There are two kinds of fiber, the soluble fiber, and the insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber is helpful in preventing a fat belly. Soluble fiber absorbs water and forms a gel. This gel helps in reducing the speed of food as they flow down the digestive system.
A study on the role of fiber in preventing a fat belly and promoting a healthy body has shown that fiber is increasing the feeling of feeling full in the body. Once the brain is triggered that the body is full, one does not know each much. Eating will then be natural and only when needed. Soluble fiber also helps to fight belly fat.
Avoid alcoholic drink
Although alcohol may have some few medical benefits, it can cause serious health complication to the human body. It is a general observation that many alcohols takers have a big belly. Alcohol consumption increases the speed at which belly fat is accumulated.
Alcohol is energy giving food. When the energy is in excess, it is stored in the form of fat deposits. These fat deposits are mostly stored in the waist part of the body and around the front part of the abdomen leading to an increased belly.
Eat a high protein diet
A protein diet is very useful in controlling the body weight and shape. Proteins are bodybuilding food. They are the kind of foods with the nutrients that allows people increased in size by building and repairing torn body cells.
Growth in the body is regulated by a hormone. Excess proteins are not stored in the body they are excreted outside the body as stool. High protein intake causes a hormone called PYY to decrease appetite in the body. Protein will also improve your metabolism rate.
Don’t eat sugary foods
Sugar contains a chemical called fructose. These chemical have been linked to several chronic diseases including diabetes. Sugars can be classified as energy giving food. They are treated by the body the same as carbohydrates and starch. The body does not store this food in their natural form.
They are converted into fats and fat lipids and stored in the body mostly beneath the skin and around blood vessels. In times of scarcity, when the body is really in need of energy, they are converted back to their natural form. Excessive intake of sugar will lead to the formation of fats which will be stored under the skin around the abdomen leading to a fat belly.
